In the U.S Constitution we have rules called amendments to make sure that the government doesn’t impose on our lives too much. These collection of laws are called the Bill of Rights and there are currently ten of them. One amendment that we have is people of the U.S. have the right to bear arms. One city has recently been having trouble with gangs murdering people. The mayor of that town took on the NRA (National Rifle Association) and banned the guns that the gangs were using. This is disgusting, it comes in direct violation of the third amendment. This is not the way to handle things. The gang members were most likely buying the weapons illegally so banning them doesn’t do anything accept take away our freedom. If the Constitution was followed by this mayor that city would still have it’s freedom. This country needs to shape up or we will turn into the things we set out to change.
