My Version of the Star Spangled Banner
Real Version:
Oh, say can you see by the dawn’s early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
My Version:
Oh, Can you see by the days early light,
How happy we cheered at the midnight’s last light,
Those red and white lines and the blue and white stars through the insecure fights.
Over the barricade we watched that were so bravely gliding,
And the red rockets shining, the exploding bombs in the air,
Gave evidence that our red, white and blue flag was still in the air,
And that star spangled banner still waves now,
Over the freedom of our land and our bravely home.
