Andrew Jacksons Personality is Different!

Andrew Jackson had a very interesting life.  He lost his dad before he was born and his brother in war, and his mom died when he was young as well. Andrew Jackson grew up alone and became very different, he became a man of war and a man dating a married women. I think this effected his precedence by having him be known by the crazy president, which was true. He did  a lot of things that no other president would do like hold a party for not just his friends but everyone and anyone who wanted to go and where else to hold it then no other than the brand new White House.

How would you judge someone?

Would you judge someone by their Actions or their Intentions? I don’t think someone should be judged by just their actions or intentions, I think it matters on the situation. For example what if a boy started handing out gum to his classmates, but gum wasn’t allowed. But he only wanted to be polite and share, you would most likely judge him by his intentions. On the other hand some one put his foot out to and tripped someone, then you should judge them on there actions, which was caused by there intention.

What does it mean?

What does the American flag mean to you? I asked fifteen people and they answered:

Do you know the message in Star Spangled Banner?

Oh, say can you see by the dawn’s early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
 

The Star Spangled Banner are just words, on a paper to most people but they actually have a very powerful meaning. It transfers in my mind to, That you can see by the mornings light, We cheered at the early morning last light? Our flags strips and stars thru the fight, over the defensive wall we watched the streaming bombs. The rockets flow casting a red shadow while the bombs burst while in the air,  Let us be able to see our flag was there. Oh, our flag still was waving there, over our land thats free and brave.

Would you be brave?

Did you every hear about The Forgotten War? Well, you probally  haven’t. If, it wasn’t for this War then we probably wouldn’t be The United States Of America. We wouldn’t be free. The Americans fought against the British for freedom once and for all, but the American troops  fled as the British attacked Washington D.C. But one single women stayed in the White House and wouldn’t leave to everything valuable was out. She waited till the frame was broke and the Gorge Washington Portrait was safe before she would leave. Would you have enough courage to stay in the White House knowing the British Troops were minutes away from coming and burning down the town? I know I wouldn’t.

Symbolism in my eyes

Symbols mean many different thing, but not only things could be symbols living things can be symbols as well. I think we create symbols when something important happens, or to be reminded of what ever was given. For example the American flag. The American flag doesn’t only symbolize the 50 states (50 stars) and 13 colonies (13 red and white strips). But it represents our freedom. I don’t think symbols are needed I think we have them to remind us of things or to make our lives easier, like a stop light instead of reading stop slow or go, your brain just looks at the symbol and just comprehends it.

New Year New Start

2010 brings a new year and many people have a revolution, these revolutions are based, usually, on off passions. My passion is basketball. I play for my school team and AAU (Amateur Athletic Union). I wan’t to try to play forward which I’ve never really done, I’ve subbed in for players to br a forward for a few minutes, but don’t know exactly what to do. Whats been holding me back is that I’ve played the position of guard my whole life. If I do play forward it will be stepping out of my comfort zone, but if I’m determined I will be able to succeed.

Hero!

There are many definitions of a hero. Your will be different from mine and mine will be different from the next persons. But my definition of a hero is:

 Someone you looked up to, admire, and wish to be like.

What would you fight for?

What I think is worth fighting for is my friends and family! I would fight for my friends and family for many reasons. First, I would fight for them because they are important to me. My friends and family help me through everything from advice to school work. They are what keep me going. I love my friends and family<3! I’d be nothing without them. They make me happy, they care, their trustworthy, funny, and fun to be with. They have my back and I will always have theirs. If i were to lose my friends &  family my life would be incomplete. To my friends & fam I love you all!

Lil Wayne!

I love Lil Wayne aka Dwayne Michael Carter! Lil Wayne’s a rapper and sings hip-hop. He grew up in The New Orleans and started rapping with a group called the New Boyz when he was young. The group broke up and he started his solo cerrear. Lil Wayne’s record The Carter lll sold over 1.5 million copies in just to first week. Many people enjoy his music such as I. I was previously suppose to go to his concert last school year but, sadly a couldn’t go. In the end I gave away my tickets to my friend, and hope to go to his next concert that comes around.(:
