Andrew Jackson was the 7th president of the USA. He was the leader of the troops that fought during the War of 1812 at New Orleans Louisiana. He defended the fort from over 3,000 British troops. The British troops suffered 2000 death while Jackson’s troops only suffered under 100. He was elected President twice by the general population but the first time the electoral collage was corrupt and elected John Q. Adams has the 6th president. The next presidential election Jackson ran again. During the race it was discovered the Jackson had married a woman that was still married to another man. This event brought uproar though the people. However Andrew Jackson was still elected the 7th president of the USA. Before he was elected his wife died. Once he was elected into the White House, he made some not so smart choices. He got into several duals. Once he walked out his ten paces and then turned and was shot in the chest. After he was shot he raised his pistol and shot and killed the man who shot him. He lived the rest of his life with the bullet in his chest.
This leads me into another question do you judge a man on his intent or his actions? I think you should judge a person on both. For example what if I wanted to murder someone but the cops caught you before I could kill him. Would they just let them go or charge me with attempted murder? I would get charged with attempted murder or conspiracy to commit murder, they would not just let me go free. I would also judge someone by there actions. If I actually murdered someone I would got to jail for murder. Therefore People Should be judged on the actions and there intentions. What do you people think? Comment Please

Oh, say can you see by the dawn’s early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
This Song is possibly the most important song in United States history. It was written by Francis Scott Key a lawyer held prisoner on his own ship during the battle for Fort McHenry.
I translate the first verse to:
Can you see the first light
Has you saw the last light
The flags stars and stripes makes it though the fight
For the flag was so beautifully flying
when bombs were bursting in air and rockets fly above
Gave us hope that we are free
O yes the flag was still there after the fight
For the land that is still free and the home of the brave soldiers.

During the War of 1812 the British burned the White House in retaliation because a year before the US troops set fire to the British Parliament Building in Canada. The White House before it was set fire was the dinning room for all the British officers. Has the British was approaching Washington Dolly Madison packed up all the important documents and even the portrait of George Washington.Without Dolly Madison the portrait of George Washington that stands is in the White House today would not be there today. The White House was a total loss anything that was left inside was not there and the building had to be knocked down and built from the ground up. The White House that stand today is the same one that was re-built after the first one was set on fire. The White House was not the only goverment building set one fire every single goverment building in Washington except one the Post Office. Once President Madison returned to Washington he held he meating in the Post Office because it was the only goverment building still standing.

When most people think about symbols they think about the American Flag or the skull and cross bones on a container. Well most people are wrong a symbol could be anything from the logo on a car to the hat the man walking down the street is wearing they all mean something. People create symbols to make them look different or to show importance in the community. The American flag on the other hand is a very powerful symbol. It shows all the men that died during the war of 1812.It shows to me that without all those men dieing the country would never been free or that we will have bad things happing in our country right now.Without those hundreds of thousands of men the USA would have never been the same.
