Just a simple blog, full of WONDERFUL things! :)
Planet X!
We were lost in space for a good amount of time before we finally sat down, and figured out what to do. Well, let me start from the begining…We were going on a field trip, then all of sudden…our spaceship crashed on this very strange, deserted planet! And guess what! The only people who survived, were the students! Of course we were scared, and startled, but then we finally decided to actually do something. We made a little civilization, while we figured out a way to get back to our home planet, Earth. A civilization, of cousre, needs some rules. The rules we made were based off the subjects of, justice, welfare, defense, peace, future, and freedom. From that point on, Planet X, was the start of a new world!
While reading the United States Constitution, we noticed that a rule of theirs was extremely similar to one of our own. The first Amendment states that people could have freedom of speech, religion, and they could meet or adress the goverment. This is the amendment that practically made the United States of America free. Our rule was that anybody could practice any religion they wanted to. This is apart of the freedom of our planet. If we didn’t have this rule for our planet, then I know that a lot of people would be very upset, because religion plays an important role in a lot of peoples’ lives.
I noticed that when the United States Constitution was being developed, each state had to vote on a delegate to represent them, in helping out to create the Constitution. When we landed on our planet, we did something a little different. First we all made rules and then we talked to each other, and chose the one that work out best for our planet. If we didn’t do this then I think that it would’ve taken a lot longer to esablish our rules.
Have you ever been to jail? Probably not, but if you brake a rule on Planet X, then you’ll be going straight there! This is where the United State’s rules, and our rules differ. The seventh Amendent says that you’ll have a jury on trial for court cases. This means that if you brake a law or do something bad, and go to court for it, you’ll have about ten or twenty people to take a vote on whether they think you’re guilty or innocent. If we didn’t have the law, “If you brake a law, you’ll go to jail”, then there could be a possability that a bad person could be let go, and we wouldn’t want that to happen!
The United States Constitution says that you are able to have guns. This means that you are able to keep them in your home. We have a rule similar to this that states, “Weapons will be kept in everyone’s house.” Our rule doesn’t nessasarily mean guns, but the two rules are still very similar. If we didn’t have this rule then the people of our planet may not protected as well from, for example, intruders from another planet!
In the end, we all worked together in figuring out a way to get back to Earth! Although some of us were sad to leave, we were still very happy to go back to our homeland, and see our families. Making our own rules was a wonderful expierence, and I’m glad, that I was apart of it!
