Analogies about what?

In class this week, we had to write down about 16-17 analogies that have to do with the American Revolution. One analogy that I especially liked of mine was, “The Declaration of Independence is to America as Abraham Lincoln was to the slaves.” I really liked this one because I thought that it explained each cause very well (if you know what they are about). The Declaration of Indepence is the reason that America is free, and Abraham Lincoln was the reason that the slaves were freed. So there is a connection there!

The alarm clock is to me waking up at 6:00 in the morning as a bat is to staying awake in the day time. I love sleeping but I hate waking up!
My messy room is to me picking out an outfit as behind the scenes at a fashion show is to models. I want to look my best everyday, but i can never make up my mind on what I want to wear! I connected my room to behind the scenes at a fashion show because they are usually very cluttered. (And so is my room!)
Fun is to lunch time as playing is to recess. Since I started middle school, I dont have recess anymore, so lunch is really the only time to full axcess to socializing.
Managing is to cross country as playing a game is to certain levels. I am one of the managers of the cross country team, and sometimes its hard and sometimes its easy, just like playing a game, you go up a level as you start doing it more.
Laughing a lot is to my friends as a comedian is to a show. My friends are so funny!
