A tree, son? NO! Its treason!
Before I began researching the Constitution for a project, I did not know part of article three, section three, which states:
“No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt act, or on Confession in open Court.”
This basically means that you can’t be put in jail or killed for treason, (basically backstabbing the government,) unless two witnesses of the account testify against you in court, or if you confess. (Testify against you: the law-based version of telling on you to a teacher.) Before my research, I did not think that is you committed treason in the United States, you could be put in jail.
