If i were in charge what rules would i make about who can become an American? I think any body can become an immigrant. It doesn’t matter what race they are or their background. I would make just a few rules: You must pay all taxes, You must be here legally, You must follow the normal rules for everybody else (you are not special) and finally you must know the Pledge allegiance. My first rule,You must pay all taxes, i would make this rule because in some countries they don’t pay taxes. In America if you don’t pay your taxes ou will have serious consequences. You must be here legally is a very important rule, if you are here legally you should be deported because you are not suppose to be here. If you want to be here then be here legally. You are not special in any way because you are an immigrant. You have to follow all the same rules because everybody is suppose to follow them. My last rule, you must know the Pledge of allegiance isn’t very important but i think that if you come to America you should know this pledge.

Should new immigrants know how to speak English? Yes i think they should. I think this way because English is our primary language, most people speaks it and it is used everywhere. You can keep your first language but i think that if you come to America you can make it easier on people if you know english.

The things that happen in you life make you who you are. If you loose a family member you think how lucky you are to have family and you keep them close in your life. Andrew Jackson had a tough life . First his father died, then his brother went off to the war and died. Then he and his other brother joined the war and were captured as prisoners. They were beaten. One time Andrew was told to polish some body’s shoes and he said no. So they cut him in the arm with a sword. His mother tried very hard to get them out of prison and she succeded. But before they were released his brother died and so did his mother. When he got out of prison he was an orphan. He then went through so many hard things i can’t list them all. With all this stuff happening before he turned 16 he is bound to be a very rough man. And he is. He had a fiery temper which sometimes helped him and other times didn’t. All of the things in his life definetly made him who he was.

Should we judge people on their actions or intentions? This is a question that people will have different answers for. No answers are right or wrong. I believe we should judge them by their intentions. What if somebody does something mean to you. They didn’t mean to look like a jerk, maybe you just took it wrong. People have different perspectives on what you say. You might just say something to them but it offended them. You didn’t mean to offend them, it was your intention to talk to them. I believe you should judge people by intentions because sometimes they make mistakes.

There was this boy who was with his friends. They started to have an argument over a video game that the boy had borrowed from one of the friends. You know boys and their video games!! The argument got heated and two kids lit one of their friends on fire. The bay is still recovering. They don’t know if he will make it. Treating burns are extremely painful, it will change his life.

I think the boys who lit him on fire had better intentions. What if they were trying just to scare him. This was very unfotunate. Either way i think the boys shouldn’t have done that. Maybe the boys were raised very roughly. You need more information on the boys to create an opinion.

When the sun first came up in the morning could you see what we have loved and saw it last at night.Over all the fighting we could still see that beautiful flag. Red lights and bombs in the sky. Our flag was still on the pole. The flag waves in the sky over the land with brave people that are free.

He was sorta shy but his huge brain made up for that. Dolly was the life of the party, she was very social. She did the social part of being president for her husband. James Madison decided to declare war against Britain in 1812. This was a silly choice because the U.S. didn’t have any soldiers or Navy. The British were the best arny with well trained soldiers that were very determined. The British were coming to Washington to burn down all the political buildings. Her husband told her to get out of the White House. She would not leave until she knew the huge portrait of George Washington was taken out of the frame and taken with them for safe keeping. She risked her own life for the iconic potrait of Geoge Washington. She became a legend because of that.

When do we create symbols? We create symbols when we want to remember something. Sometimes we make them when we want to honor someone or something. For example peace, we have the peace sign, when i see the sign i think about war and how we need peace. Why do we create symbols? Like i said before we make them when we want to honor or remember someone or something. Why do people need symbols? Everybody goes through tough times throughout our lives. Although they are not fun we will always remember them. Sometimes we need to remember them so we have symbols. For example if you are sick with cancer, you might lose your hair and wear a wig or some type of hat. Years after you have battled the cancer you have that wig or hat and when you see it you think of those rough times but you also think how good your life is now. The American flag to everybody means USA. Betsy Ross made it to symbolize the thirteen colonies and fifty states. When even people from other countries see it they think of the USA and that is what i think a symbol is. Something that is known by many people.

I love to play softball ! It is so exciting and fun to play. Something i want to do this year is be outgoing, get out of my comfort level. When i am playing softball when the ball is coming straight torwards my or the perfect pitch is coming torwards me that is when i am excited. I am so passionate about softball because it is so exciting, it is fun, it is good excercise and you make new friends. If i didn’t have softball i wouldn’t be very happy because i would not have any of those things. i find time to play it because i love it so much. Once i finish all the things i need to do i practice softball. I would like to acheive with softball a great work ethic. You can’t win a game without practicing. Sftball holds me back from doing other sports. It is so fun i don’t think any other sport could be as great for me. I can see myself in thirty years watching my children play softbal.
