It’s Not Just a Rock!

Crazy Horse Monument

This tiny rock was once a part of a huge monument. This is a piece of Crazy Horse Monument in South Dakota. On my vacation of 2010 I went on a huge vacation. I traveled to over 5 states and camped in every state. One state that I visited was South Dakota. While I was in this state I saw 2 major monuments. I saw MT. Rushmore and as you can guess, Crazy Horse. Crazy horse was amazing. It was huge; it is so big that Mt. Rushmore can actually fit inside Crazy Horse’s hair. That’s at least doubled the size of Mt. Rushmore. This little rock will always make me recall my huge vacation.

6 Years Old… Impossible!!

Many of my readers probably have heard of the myth with a cherry tree, and a president. You guessed it, Aparently  George Washington cut down his fathers luxurious cherry tree. When his father approached him, George Washington could not tell a lie. I told his father what he had done. I don’t believe this fictional story because what 6 year old can not tell the truth  straight up to his father if he did something wrong and his father was angry. Also what 6 year old can cut down a tree!!!! I don’t know any toddlers that have the overall power to cut down  an in bloom cherry tree.

So, that was only my opinion, but here are some facts about how this myth can not possibly be true. This story was made up by Mason Locke Weems, to make George Washington sound more interesting. Yep, this author thought George Washington’s biography was boring so he spiced his story up. So, there you have it, no hatchet, no cherry tree , and no honest Washington. It was all a fake myth.

What’s the Difference?!?!?!?

The Naval Act of 1794 provided funding for six ships and crew members, for the Navy. This meant the Navy were able to have six ships packed with crew, that’s a big deal for the Navy. But what I really want to know, is whats the difference between these new ships and a regular Naval ship or what’s the same. So here’s what I came up with…

Differences

1.  The old Naval ships carried 44 guns and a modern Naval ship on has 6 guns. Yes, the guns on a modern ship are very modern and a lot more improved but yet only six.

2. On a modern Naval ship there are 24 crew members. On the Naval Act ships there were only 12 crew members aboard. Yeah, that’s half of a regular ship’s crew members you could find on a regular Naval ship today.

3. The Naval ships that were provided from the Naval act were only 204 feet in length. The modern ships are 567 feet in length. That make a big difference in how the ships were built.

4. On the modern ships the displacement ( when full ) is 9600 pounds, and on the old ships it’s only 2200 pounds.  ( when full ) So there’s a big difference in the way the ships were built over time.

5. The cost of one ship in the modern Navy is about 1 million dollars and the cost of one of the ships provided in the Naval Act is about 688,888 dollars. So both were a lot of money but the modern ships are more.

So there are many differences in the way ships were built or how many crew members and even how much money they cost to build. Overall there not really even the same ships, and that’s the difference between the ships provided from the Naval Act of 1794 and modern ships you would find in the water today.

It’s a Good Question!!!!!!

What would happen if…  It’s a puzzling, exicting question that lots of people ask  their selfs. For me the question that I like to ask myself  is about what I like. So, What would happen if  dogs could talk??? Well an answer that I was able to come up with is very simple. Communication, my dog and I could actually communicate and I would be able to understand want his/her needs are . No more accidents in the house or whining at your knee’s. If dog’s could talk, it would make life with dogs a whole lot easier.

This photo represents the Jefferson Memorial. In my Social Studies class we had to find Government Building in Washington D.C that represents a Greek, Roman, and classical revival style of architecture. When I saw this I thought of a Coliseum. The Jefferson Memorial is a National Park for tourists, so basically its just a tourist attraction . Although it is dedicated to our 3 Founding Father, Thomas Jefferson. Like I said before, this building represents a Coliseum that you could find in both Rome and Greece.

Article 2, Section 4
Posted on November 2nd, 2010 at 9:15 pm by and

In the U.S Constitution there are many laws, Many of which I had no idea about. Article 2, section 4 is a great example, this part states that a President, Vice President and all civil Officers can be impeached for Treason Bribery, or other Crimes. I didn’t know that a president came be removed I thought the decision was finale I didn’t even think about their consequence if they commited any crimes, but I guess something would have to be done.

hope

This is a Wordle!! Basically I took a bunch of words that were on my blog and I made a collage. I went to wordle. net and copied the names of my posts and comments and upload them. I got to choose my colors and I choose these colors because I think they express who I am the most. I choose the font and the lay-out. Overall I think this Wordle expresses the way I am and the way my blog expresses me.

Stuck Underground For Over 2 Months!! =0

In Chile there are very many mines around the Chile desserts. 33 miners were trapped with no way out of the mine they were working in. The  mine collapsed, a miners worst nightmare! No body knew what to do but the miners hung in there and on Thursday, the 14th the all 33 miners were rescued and healthy. They couldn’t wait to see there families and friends, and tell them about the 67 days a half mile underground. In this ordeal I would have tried to stay calm and tell myself every thing would be okay.  I would Pray everyday and know that God would get me through it and I would try to be the best I could be with the people I’m around. The First thing I would do would be hug my parents and tell them I love them.
