Before Andrew Jackson was born his father died and left his wife to take care of the kids. Then when Andrew was around 8 years old his older brother went to fight in the Revolutionary War. But when he was in the war he got captured and put in a British prison. So Andrew and his younger brother went out to find him. But when they got to the prison the British killed their older brother. Then the ran home. But before they got home Andrews younger brother died of a disease. Then when Andrew got home he found his mom dead in their house too. So now Andrew was the only person in his family. So he had to move around to different families for a whole year.

So I think that this story effected this time as president because almost his whole life he had to take care of himself and other people when he was a general in the Civil War. So as time as president he would have to take care of everyone in the united states. Also the first time he tried to be president he lost but that didn’t stop him. Then the next presidential election Jackson didn’t give up. He tried his bst and won the election. That meant that when Jackson was moving from house to house he said to himself not to give up in life and he didn’t and that payed  off because he became the President of the United States.

I think someone should be judged by their actions only when that person meant to do that action. I think someone should be judged by their intention only if that person was taught to do so when that person was younger. But if they didn’t mean to do that action at all then they shouldn’t be judged at all even if they didn’t mean to do that action and wasn’t taught to do so.

Modern

Oh, can you see by the morning’s early light. So proudly we screamed at the sun’s last light. Whoes bright stripes and bright stars shown through the deadly fight, or the wall were we sat we watched the flares so heroicly streaming. And the rockets red light, the bombs blowing up un the air, gave proof through the night that our flag was still there. Oh, does that flag wave or the land of the free and the home of the brave?

The event that I chose was the Burning of  Washington D.C. I chose this event because the americans tried to make a stand at Bladensburg Maryland but they retreated and fled into Washington and were defeated there. The british then burned the White House, The Libary of Congress and every thing else. Then the next day when they were leaving Washington a huge hurricane and tornado came and probably wiped out 3/4 of the british army and put out all of the fires. So the british lost and Washington D.C. was saved. Then they had to rebuild everything…except for the post office.

1. When do we create symbols?

A: We create symbols when we need to recognize something like the skull and cross bones for poison.

2. Why do we create symbols? Or why do people need symbols?

A: We create symbols to recognize something, to remember things, or to help people in times of need. I think the main reason people need symbols is to recognize something.

3.Why would the AmericanFlag be considered a symbol?

A: I think an American Flag is a symbol because it shows what America is because the American Flag has stories on why it looks like what it is.

4. What does it symbolize?

A: The American Flag symbolizes the thirteen colonies with the stripes and the fifty states with the stars.

My passion is to become a great outdoors person. An outdoors person is like a fishermen or a camper. I love to be outdoors with the boy scouts and I like to be fishing in my free time. I would love to go boating because i’ve never gone boating and it looks fun. Things that get me excited is to catch the biggest fish in the lake or river. Also things that get me excticed is going somewere i’ve never been. I find time to do my passion when I go on a campout with the boy scouts on a weekend every month. I would like to be the best outdoorsmen I can be and mabey get a job that lets me work in the field. Things that hold me back is probably school because we are inside all day and don’t learn anything about the outdoors. I think my passion would be apart of my future because I love to be outside and im hoping I get a job that lets me work outside also.

I don’t know what a “bad” post is but I have to put down something. So one time when I was camping with the boy scouts I was collecting fire wood, when I was running back I felt something go in my boot. It was a rusty nail. So the person who I went with ran back to the campsite to get help and brought back a leader. He carried me back and cleaned and bandeged the wound. This happened on October 17. It hurt when I walked but now the wound is fine.

My favorite quote is “A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life” by Charles Darwin. This is my favorite quote because in life you dont just sit around, you need to do something in your life. You only have one and you wouldn’t want to waste it. You have to value every second of it.

Over Thanksgiving break I went to Boston with my family. When I got there I stayed on the 17th floor of a hotel over looking the city. I also went to the Museum of Natural Science  and saw an Antarctica Imax show and a Planetarium show. I also got to go to the top of my hotel which was on the 26th floor. But I only got to stay for a day.
