My blog is a very interesting one because it is from a boy from middle school who is a very athletic boy and a sports liker. Most of the stuff i try to post is either humorous or straight forward. I made it by myself because of my middle school teacher” Mr. B” ( who happens to be the best teacher i have ever had) who loves to teach the class mainly on life with a dash of history. Many other people think that blogging is such a drag but it really isnt if you know how to do certain tasks on it. I dont usually use any “FOUL” language in my blog posts, not that i know of, and i never try to use any inappropriate things that may offend people. I thin k my blog is one of a kind and if u think so too leave a comment. It would be very much appreciated. THANK YOU ALL OF MY VIEWERS… :) )))))))

My Dream Vacation

Filed under: Uncategorized —— josephg @ 4:18 pm

The place i would like to visit just for no apparent reason is Italy. Almost all of my decent goes back the the good old Italy. I have heard about it and it is a very beautiful. There are many places that are still standing from when they were built many many years ago. In my opinion Italy is one of the most visited places in the in Europe and the best part is all of the Italian food. The pasta, the pizza, the lazania and many more foods. I think that it is a very wonderful place. All of the people there are very nice. Almost everyone greets each other if you are a very nice person. My grandfather once took a cruise to Italy and he said that is was one of the greatest experiences of his life. I bet if i went there i would never want to leave and i would learn to speak Italian. I believe that THE absolute best part of Italy is the culture. Italians respect the gods greatly and i would like to be that way too. Also the way they occupy themselves. They play many sports and that means it’s my type of country.

I Wonder…

I wonder why, back in the 1700′s, they fought in those very interesting looking suits because when they were fighting they had no really sufficient way of sneaking up on their opponent. They were always in those ridiculous hats and bright red or blue suits which exposed them so much that they could be spotted from a mile away. This has been making me think ever since i have heard of the Revolutionary War. Does anyone know Why???

Day in my Life

The lunch in my bag is as Halloween is to its sweet candy.

The waking aroma of sausage is as drenching me in ice cold water on a hot day

The sun shining in my eyes in the morning is to a rockband blazzing their music in my ears

The movie theater on a friday is as a walk through a meadow of flowers

The thing we all need called SLEEP is as soothing as a nice warm blanket in the winter.

this is a day in My life

The Good Old Musket

Filed under: Uncategorized —— josephg @ 4:25 pm

Back in the day, when George Washington and his men attacked the Hessians in brutal cold weather, both sides of the army used a certain weapon that was commonly used in that time period, “The good old Musket”. The men sent off with George Washington were armed with this rifle with a supply of ammunition, black powder(which made the projectile come out), and other various items such as clothes and boots, and the other very reliable item, the bayonet. The bayonet was used mostly if they were out of ammunition or if the weather condition was very cold because the rifle wouldnt have been able to ignite the powder. The things that they used for the rifle had to be percisely inserted into the gun or else it would blow up in their face. If the flint lock ( ignitor) didnt ignite the powder than it wouldnt shoot. The projectile was loaded from the muzzle of the rifle. You could literally put anything down that barel that fit and it would shoot out, Such as glass, rocks, or even nails. This is why the Hessians and the men of George Washingtons men used  these  weapons. George Washington got a very good outcome against the Hessians. :)

A Day as a Teacher

Filed under: Uncategorized —— josephg @ 7:01 pm

The question i have received from my teacher is, “If you had the opportunity to ‘teach’ a class of teachers for one day, what would you teach them that would help them ‘teach’ middle school better?”

My response to that question would start off with how some teachers use books or give you lectures about  a certain topic of a subject. I strongly believe that those types of things are very boring and will not help them learn that topic it will only teach them how to sleep even more. Second of  all, i cant except the fact that some teachers think that tests are a way of telling if that person has fully succeeded in that certain topic. Personally I believe that tests just pressure people. You get that feeling that if you do bad on the test you will get  bad grade and you also think ” oh my, what if I am the only person in the class that gets a low grade”. I think that tests are wrong and they shouldn’tbe used in school. Finally i would like to conclude with the fact that teachers should be using their abilities to try their best not to make the kids “die of boredom“. They should be doing fun activities such as this blog, which was given to me by my teacher, things that literaly MAKE the students want to learn about that topic that they are teaching. I’m JOE B and this is my opinion on what teachers should do in school.chewed pencil
