B.A.D “As we prepare to mourn the world’s largest land predator”

Posted by josh on October 14, 2009

Ms. W asked us to write a BAD post today. Basically it’s about climate change. For more info click here. I have decided to write about the polar bears.

It is well known that global warming is melting our icecaps but what is not known by most people is that it is also killing our animals. Out of the many artic and ice dwelling animals the polar bears are the least adaptable. They depend on the ice for food, shelter, camoflage, protection and even warmth. Cubs are born there. The ice is what keeps our furry yet ferocious friends to the north alive. They find it hard to hunt on land, they are too big and clumsy. They can’t swim down and catch fish for the fish are too fast. The white bears are dying out there. :(

Love the tag, Josh, but remember to add a link to the BAD website somewhere in your post.
