I am an animator, I write scripts, create storyboards, animate and then edit videos. And I’m really good at it too. especially Stop Motion. I am a whiz with the camera. I can do real wonders with it. I can make people fly, inanimate objects move, and even blow stuff up. My favorite kind of stop motion is Lego Stop Motion. I like Legos, I like stop motion. The end result is 16 frames per second of pure plastic awesomeness. Check out my vids on Youtube. I have made some really good stuff. Some are school projects, some are just for fun. you can kind of tell which ones were the first ones that I made about five years back. the picture quality is bad and the videos are completely random.

Recently I’ve gotten into Lego fights. They are very hard to do because in order to make it look like the Legos are actually fighting, and to do that you have to make them move like an actual human being. But since they’re Lego you have to use a bunch of camera tricks and optical illusions to make it work. Usually the shots come out wrong and I end up scrapping the entire video. I have about seven of eight vids that never made it to the editing stage because I messed up. One person who does a really good job with the fight sequences is Keshen8. He is really good at it. Usually people make fights completely unrealistic in order compensate  with the Lego characters. But Keshen can maintain a level of realisticness that is not found in other creators’ videos.

I also am into this thing called Flipnote studio. It is this thing for the handheld Nintendo DSi where you can animate short, one minute films. Then you can post them on a website called flipnote hatena. You can click on the link to see my videos. I’m not as good on flipnote as I am at stop motion because my poor drawing skills and limited video game time ( my parents only let me play an hour of video game time each day and that includes Hatena. ) put some serious limitations on my abilities. Nonetheless my work is pretty impressive. I suggest you check it out. Leave a comment on the post and tell me what you think!

My hero

Posted by josh on 30th November 2009

bonoBloggish stuff due friday: Write one post that includes your definition of  a hero and a brief description of someone living today that you think meets your definition.  Include one image that represents your definition.

Who’s my hereo? Really and seriously I don’t know. A hero to me is someone that you look up to or admire, in other words a role model. But when asked who my hero is I draw a blank. who is my hero? Who do I admire? a few people come to mind… I admire Steven Speilburg, Bono, and Nikola Tesla. But are they my heroes? Or do I just admire them? I don’t know…

New pets

I’ve been meaning to write about this for a while…

A few weeks ago my mother brought home a small container full of dirt. Inside were four giant millipedes. Wow, these things are cool. We feed them lettuce and spinach. But their favorite food is carrots. When you place on in their tank all four of them swarm out of their holes and devour the carrot like piranhas. The poor carrot never had a chance… it was reduced to nothing in less than two minutes.  Another great thing about the millipedes is that if you are stealthy enough you can sneak the vegetables that your supposed to be eating for dinner into your pocket. And then you just pop it into the millipede tank and within five minutes it’s gone. At the end of the week if there are vegetables that are beginning to go bad we just pop them into the millipede tank and they are gone within a day. another cool thing is that they eat Styrofoam packing peanuts. we were looking up food for them online and our local Audubon society said that they will eat packing peanuts. so now whenever we get a package we just dump some peanuts into the tank and, presto! no more stupid peanuts fluttering out of your garbage can every time you open the front door. I wonder what this does to my carbon footprint…

Ohhh… my achin head, a shoutout to all those people who get migranes.

In this post I would like to address a few topics. Bear with me and don’t space out.

First of all I would like to address all of my readers: I have not written a post in a good amount of time. I apoligize but with Lego robotics, Halloween (I was hosting a party), My little brother getting the flu (NOT SWINE!), my new stop motion video which is going to be my biggest production yet, karate, homework, studying, freaking out about algebra (ACK!!!!), problems with my Flipnote Hatena account, me getting ready to D.M. our next D&D quest for the first time, me hitting my growth spurt, and general laziness, (pant, pant, longest run on sentence EVER) such small trifles such as blogging and sleeping fell very low on my priority list. This large list of things nagging in the back of my head only added to the already gigantic pile of stress that has been building up around my 13 year old, easily distracted, freakout prone body. which brings us to our next topic…

The keen observer may have noticed that this post was made while I was supposed to be in school. If so then good job you can collect your reward here on November 31st XD. The reason for this is that the stress buildup added onto lack of sleep has created within me the migraine that ate New Jersey, thus my absence from school today.

Another thing, this one is mostly for my friends, WHEN YOU WRITE ME COMMENTS PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPELLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:O  I logged on today and discovered a number of comments left on my posts, almost all of them had poor spelling that could have been fixed if you guys would just read your comments after you write them. You know who you are, that was your warning. From now on any comments that have dumb spelling or grammatical errors that could easily  be fixed (somebody [you know who you are] mispelled the word and ) thank you that is all.
