Tecumseh was one of the most influential, and talented leaders. He was also a skilled warrior and a brilliant speaker. His dream was to unite the American Indians into a single confederation to oppose the settlers. People thought he was a threat to American power calling him an uncommon genius. Tecumseh also said, the white people have know right to take the land because the Indians had it first. I think our text book should have more information on who he was and what he did. They should of added that he grew up during the revolutionary was so he was constantly exposed to warfare. Before Tecumseh left to unite other Native American tribes he warned his brother Tenskwatawa not to fight against the Americans. He completely ignored him and he was defeated in 1811. Tecumseh also helped in the capture of Fort Detroit. He ended up dying October 5, 1813 when he was only 45 years old.
One thing you probably didn’t know is that General Tom Thumb got married in 1863. General Tom Thumb stopped growing at the age of five. He is very talented. He performed for Queen Victoria in London, and his performances at Barnum’s Museum always sold out. His marriage was during the Civil War so it was very bad for them. General Tom Thumb was born in Bridgeport Connecticut, and his real name is Charles Sherwood Stratton. He died at the age of 45, and his wife died at the age of 77, but all their life they entertained audiences all over the united states.
I think George Washington was a great leader. He was brave, smart, adventurous, and courageous. Washington was a great leader because, he lead his troops across the Delaware river. Most people didn’t want to do that because they knew that if they fought they would get defeated. But, Washington knew they could do it and they had nothing to loose. When he was a leader his army looked up to him and trusted him, and he lead them to victory. “Do great leaders make history? Or does history make great leaders?” I believe that great leaders do make history. I do because some great leaders like George Washington and Thomas Jefferson did make history. They both accomplished a lot and everyone learns about them in school. There can also be great leaders who make history who aren’t famous like people you know. Kids don’t learn about them at school but you yourself know how they were a leader, and remember them as making history. I don’t think history makes great leaders. I disagree with that because there are a lot of different people who made history that aren’t leaders or if they were leaders they might of been a horrible one. Just because someone is old and in our history books it doesn’t mean they are a great leader you have to hear their story behind them first.
A leader is someone who is brave, adventurous, courageous, independent, and is someone who people look up to. Leaders can be any one at any age, they are made not born. You can be the kind of person who is quiet and shy but later in life that can all change. You can get out of your shell, and become a leader. I was a leader when I went ice skating with my little sister. I was because, it was her first time ice skating and she didn’t know how. I knew how so I taught her and she looked up to me. The time I follow a leader is when I’m at dance class. My dance teacher is the leader I’m following. She’s the one who tell’s everybody what to do and she’s the one who teaches everything to us. I think everyone should be a leader, not a follower. We all have our own personalities so we should all be independent, and do our own things, and not copy what everyone else is doing. So, I think everyone should just be themselves, and anyone can be a leader if they try.
This ring isn’t just an ordinary ring, or object, it means a lot to me. This ring was my grandma’s on my dad’s side. She admired the ring and she loved it, and wore it a lot. Before she past away she gave my dad all the things she liked most including the heart ring. I was only about five years old so my dad didn’t give me the ring then because I would probably lose it because it didn’t fit my fingers. I finally got the ring when I was about eleven years old. I wear almost every day because it’s what I remember my Grandma by. If I lost it I would be really upset because it’s something that can’t be replaced. You might be able to buy the same one but it wont be the same because it was never my Grandma’s, and it doesn’t have any memories in it.
December 21, 2012 is the date that people think the world is going to end. I don’t think that will happen but a lot of people think it will happen. Some people think it will end through a solar flare and earth is going to catch fire, and they think all the planets will make an alignment, and it might cause a shift in the magnetic poles. Also, a lot of things have to do with the Mayan calendar. The world was suppose to end many times before like in 2000. Nothing happened in that year, it was just like any other. 2012 is just going to be a normal year too. Also, they are making movies on that year about all this crazy stuff that’s going to happen. So, on December 21, 2012 I think nothing will happen it will just be a day like any other but no one really knows what will happen.
In 1794 congress passed the Naval Act, and that’s when the first navy was created. There was six ships and their crews. One of the original six ships was 204 feet long as of a ship from today is 455 feet. A u.s. navy ship weighs 22,00 tons and a ship from 1794 weighs 2,200 tons. Both ships were used in the navy, and they had something coming off the ship, like a gun to protect the other ships.

Stories have been told that George Washington cut down his family’s cherry tree. Is that a fact or not? I did research and I learned that a women wrote a book about it, and she said it was true that he cut down the cherry tree. He got a new hatchet and it was meant for cutting wood, he saw that the cherry tree was made of wood so he hit it and it got cut down. His father saw it and asked George if he did it. George honestly said he cut it with his little hatchet. Then I went on another website and it said that the author only said that in the book to show George Washington’s honesty so that incident never actually happened.
What would happen if music was never invented?
If music was never invented then, there wouldn’t be any other way to express your feelings or something else only talking. If there was no music then there wouldn’t be any singers so there wouldn’t be any concerts to go to. I wouldn’t like it if music never existed because I listen to it every day and I love it. So, a world without music would be really bad.
I think you should believe in the Loose Construction when interpreting the Constitution because, the federal government can take responsible actions that the Constitution did not specifically forbid if from taking. The constitution particularly the elastic clause was intended to be flexible so the government can appropriately change. The National Bank, President Washington, and congress supported Hamilton’s argument because they hoped a bank would provide more security for the national economy. The stability provided by the bank played an important role in improving the economy. The elastic clause is Article 1 Section 8 and it’s used under limited circumstances.
