Hey guys! Ready for the Question of the Week?
Well it is…. What is your opinion on people making their avatars for blogs as themselves?
I think that people who are 18 or older should be able to because when you are young, you don’t really understand what kind of people are out there. It could be dangerous!
I have a whole post like this below this one, you can take a look at that! I hope you enjoy!

Hey guys! I am doing blogging challenge week 2 and since I’m a veteran, we have to write a post on when people should put themselves as their avatar.
I personally think it is ok when you are a very known blog. Not a school thing, and maybe older. I feel this way due to the fact that their are people out there who go after young children, and are dangerous. I think that if someone over 18 who knows what they are doing should be ok with it. Even then though, it could be dangerous.
Also, very known blogs are probably going to have fans who want to see who is the blogger. I do not object, although, I feel that the Avatar should be somewhat vague, considering there are people who are dangerous.

I realize that this is the character from the movie Avatar, but it is also a pretty good avatar.
P.S. my Question of the Week is the same as this, check it out!

Hey guys! Time for the Question of the Week.
The Question is…. Who has been your greatest influence?
I would have to say that my greatest influence is my mom. She is so strong, she goes through so much to make me and my sister happy. I wouldn’t be here without her. She’s just that one who I know I can talk to about anything without being judged. Imagine you had NO ONE to talk to and you had to keep everything inside bottled up? I would hate it!
I want to know who your great influence is! Comment, and you should leave a link to your blog! I love checking out new ones that I haven’t seen. Hope to hear from you all soon!

In class, we discussed what the meanings of smart and wisdom are. Now remember, you can’t use the word in the definition, and at first you may think it is easy, until you break it down. To be Smart, in my opinion, is someone who is intellectual in different ways. Their are people who are book smart, as in they know the things that are taught in school very well, and people who are street smart, who know the things that happen outside of school. For example, someone who knows the places to stay away from when in a gang town (just an example, not meaning to sound racist). Now their were arguments about this saying that someone who is street smart isn’t usually book smart, and like-wise. You really have to think about it, don’t you?
Now what is wisdom? Wisdom, in my opinion, is someone who gains knowledge from their mistakes and other peoples mistakes. They take the things that they see and learn and make it into a lesson for others. Some say that the older the wiser, well I agree, because someone who is older has usually gone through more struggles than we have. Think about it, someone who is 10 is not gonna be as knowing as someone who is 60. The 60 year old will understand more about the things that you should and shouldn’t do.
So my question is, what do they mean to you? What are the definitions of Smart and Wisdom? Remember, you can’t use the word as a definition, good luck .

This is Ghandi. he was a VERY wise man, who knew the meaning of life, and the way things should be done. He is a great role model for someone to have.

Hey guys! Welcome to another question of the week
The question of the week is… What do you think of schools not allowing students to use their cell phones?
I mean, I don’t know about other schools, but at my school the teachers use their cell phones all the time… during class! I think it is rude on their part for interrupting the class and texting their friends, or calling people. If they are allowed to, why aren’t we? It’s like teachers have different rules, and I understand that adults have different rules to go by, but if they can text a friend or call their children, then why can’t we? I mean, I wouldn’t text my friends during class because I want a good education, but say I was needed, why shouldn’t I be allowed to respond? Say I forgot a project or homework at home, shouldn’t I be allowed to call my parent or text them? Having to go down to the office is time consuming, you miss class and possible notes.

So what do you think? Here is a site with the pros and cons of cell phone use in school. Here is another site with pros and cons.

Hey guys! My question of the Week is a great turn out!
The Question of the Week is…. What is your opinion on the war in Iraq?
I mean I am against war, and I don’t like it, but it is for a good cause right? Like without it, who knows what could be going on now. If you live in Iraq or one of the neighboring countries, tell me your opinion, I would LOVE to hear it! I think that everyones opinions are important on this because I want to know what other people think.
Here is some info on the war. Their statistics, so you’ll get a good idea on it.

Hey guys! The question of the week is…..
What is your favorite book that has a movie? I’m hoping I will like Perseus Jackson and the Lightning Thief.
It has to do with Greek Mythology, and everything to do with Greek mythology intrigues me insanely! The twelve Gods of Olympus, Medusa, the Minotaur, Chimera’s, and all the evil creatures that lurk in the Underworld with Hades. It is all just SO interesting!!!!
 Chimera picture
This is a Chimera. It has three heads, the heads of a goat, a lion, and a dragon/serpent. The tail of a serpent, the torso of a goat, the wings of the dragon, and the legs of the lion and goat.
Its ruler is Echidna, Queen of the Serpents. She is NOT a type of anteater, and does not enjoy being called one, so unless you want her Chimera blowing fire at you, I wouldn’t say it.

 This is Medusa
This is Medusa, she is the woman, snake… Half and Half lady. She has the head and body of a lady, only… Her hair isn’t hair, her hair consists of SNAKES and with one look in her eyes, you are STONE. She became this beast because of Athena, the Goddess of War. She was found having an affair with Poseidon in Athena’s temple, which made Athena, quite angry and decided to punish both Poseiden, and Medusa, who used to be quite a beautiful woman before becoming a Gorgon.
If anyone would like information on these Greek Mythological creatures, I am your girl to talk to. If you would like information on the Gods of Olympus, here is your site. I am not completely equipped on the 12 Gods, I have about 5 or 6 down, and that is just names. As for life stories, about two or three. I hope you enjoyed!

Hey everybody! Today I’m writing a post on Andrew Jackson, and no he is not nor ever was a part of the Jackson 5. Andrew Jackson was our 7th president of the U.S. and he was not your everyday president. Other presidents were usually wealthy and stuck up, but Andrew was different, when he was younger he went to a good school, although he was not a very good student. He loved to play pranks, cursing, and fighting, so he ruined his mothers hopes on becoming a Presbyterian Minister.
Later, Jackson decided to join the war with his brothers, but his oldest brother died of a heat stroke, and his other brother died of being slashed by a soldier and becoming Prisoners of War. He was released thanks to his mother, who later in his life, died.
When Jackson became 21, he fell in love with a woman, a married woman, named Rachel Robard. When Rachel’s husband proposed a divorce, Rachel went off and got married to Jackson. The problem was that Robard only proposed a divorce, saying that Rachel now had two husbands.
Jackson and Rachel first lived in Poplar Grove, which Jackson had to sell with the fact that he was risking bankruptcy, but later moved to The Hermitage (a piece of land that Jackson purchased) and began a family. They adopted two of Rachel’s nephews to be their children, one named Andrew Jackson.
Jacksonwas hot-tempered, and one day got into a duel with Charles Dickinson. Dickinson shot first and shot Jackson in the chest, but Jackson still managed to shoot Dickinson and mortally wound him. This caused Jackson to get a reputation, and in 1812, his country called on him to serve where he became Major General of the Tennessee Militia.
When Jackson was in war, he was a great successor, and by 1814 when he entered New Orleans, he had a troop of 5,000 men consisting of regular U.S. troops, volunteer militia from Tennessee, Kentucky, Louisiana, and the Mississippi territory, free blacks, Indians, and even some pirates. Yet, he still had an outnumbered and under skilled army compared to the British forces. Amazingly, when the British sent a full attack on to Jackson’s army on January 8, 1815, the British lost, and Jackson had won the fight.
In June 1821, Jackson resigned from his post to be governor of the new land that the U.S. had won over, Florida. Thanks to his new famous state, the citizens of the Florida then soon mentioned him to be a candidate for being President.
He and Rachel hated the weather in Florida and decided to move back home to Tennessee, where the Tennessee Senator soon appointed him to be the governor, where in 1823, he joined the office as Senator.
In 1824, the Presidential race began, although Jackson was different and didn’t publicly speak about his running. If he won he wanted to cleanse the government of corruption. In the fall of 1824, the poll was held and later, the votes were in, Jackson had more votes, but not enough for the Electoral College votes to pass him, where the House of Representatives. They soon found out that the position had been given to John Quincy Adams. It was rumored that they had made a deal to ensure Adams win with Henry Clay as his chief supporter. When Adams elected Clay as his Secretary of State, Jackson’s beliefs were confirmed.
Jackson after resigned his post, and began his work for the 1828 election. When the time rolled around, Jackson was ready to win, but had to go through a brutal campaign. It is still noted throughout history to be one of the most brutal campaigns ever. Adam’s followers made sure not to just attack Jackson, but to also go after Rachel. This was very tough on their marriage, for they said that neither of them were worthy of being in the highest office.
In 1828 by an extremely high vote, Jackson won the election, making him the new President of the United States.
I think that Jackson’s younger life affected his older life. When he was younger he didn’t have it easy, and so when he got older he learned to be tough. Being tough got him through so much! From being poor, to being in the army, to being a governor, to being a general to being President. He had such a difficult life and he overcame all the odds. It is really amazing that he could do all that.
This is where I got my information: http://collaborationnation.wikispaces.com/file/view/Jackson%27s+life.doc
