So you want to be an Immigrant…
1. If I were in charge of the immigrants that came to America, what rules and requirements would I set for them?
If I were in charge of the new immigrants coming to America, I would tell them to learn about our culture, the laws, and our language before coming to America. If they don’t learn about our country, they might get very lost in our different ways of life. And of course, I would tell them to eventually register to become an American in order to permanently live here.
2. Should all immigrants learn to speak English?
Yes, all immigrants should learn how to speak English. English is the main language in America; but even if you speak Spanish or French, which are the secondary languages in America, learning basic English could take them very far in their new life.
