just the opposite "Fear not for I am with you". In the past, some local cruhch's got together to pull off a Harvest Festival on Halloween. I believe they are doing it again this year for our community. Persaonally, I'd like to see parents bringing there kids to something like that then taking them trick or treating. They do share the gospel, and give Christian reading for the kids. They set up little carnival games for the children to play to earn candy. Kids are allowed to dress up, but the cruhch's make sure to ask that there be no scary costumes.Whatever you chose to do, don't go against your conscience, and pray and see what the Lord may have you to do. He just may have the best solution for you.In Christ,Angela

Well, when I was a young enough to trick-or-treat ~30 years ago, oppele had just about quit giving fruit as Halloween treats. They knew most oppele just threw away anything that wasn't sealed in a manufacturers wrapper. Now and for the past 10-12 years I would wonder if anybody even gives out homemade treats or treats that are not individually wrapped and sealed. So, yeah. I understand why you quit going through the candy. I'm glad you let your kids trick-or-treat, though. After I moved to a subdivision, I saw what a neat experience it is for kids. Growing up in the country, I didn't get the full trick-or-treat experience. The houses weren't close enough together to set out walking and hit a bunch of house. My mom drove me to a few of her friend's houses and that was it. Thanks for your comment.

The reason they didn't do what people told them, is becuase no one told them what to do, did you see the economy?

Point Raised

Are you sure change is good? I don't think so. My and your generation are told that, change is wrong, you are an outcast if you are not like everyone else. Well that's because the world is run by people who know what they're doing, not because of change.

Your vision of a REVOLUTIONARY idea. Lets go to the 1900's, the formation of the SOVIET UNION. The USSR was the main rival of the United States up until 1991, and do you know why child? Do you know why "We shall not fear the Red menace"? Because the idea of Communism was different. When people don't understand something, that lack of knowledge turns into fear, and that fear will breed to hatred.

The 1960's told us to be different, to be ourselves. That was the age of hippies, and that idea is dead and gone.

I'm sorry I gave you a speech, I'm not trying to fight you, I'm trying to open your eyes.

Do you find that space is more interesting to boys than girls? It always seemed that way to me, but it may not be true based on attendance at Star Wars conventions. It is amazing how many frontiers we do have: How are brains work, the oceans, cells. Knowledge is endless.

Your raising some points my friend. Money and lives are being spent on war. Heedfully you mean Globally. If your focusing on the Middle East, be prepared, that will take time. As you said, we need to help poorer countries. That mabe good for your background, but dose that benefit your country and cause? Don't be mad at me. You will get resistance out of me if your asking those kinds of points, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be overlooked or taken lightly, just understand that war is forever, and war.... war never changes
