Andrew Jackson: Brother. Dad. Husband…President?
Andrew Jackson was born on March 15th, 1767. His father died before he was born and his mother took him and the three others to live with the Crawford natives. They went to a local school. The revolutionary war took away the rest of the Jackson family leaving Andrew alone. He then became married to Rachel Donelson Robards. They took in Andrew’s nephew and adopted a daughter. He then became a teacher and then an attorney. In 1806 there was a small fight between Charles Dickinson and Andrew between a horse race and it ended between the two of them dueling with pistols which left him with a bullet in his arm. Jackson was then asked to serve. Do you think Jackson should have been president ? I think that he could have been a good president but, alot of things effected him. When he was younger his mother and father died along with his brothers by either illness or war. He also had a bad temper which wouldn’t have gotten him far. Although he was brave and went through alot of agony and suffering, he showed he could do anything and he was strong enough to be president. He also knew alot of the things that went on in the war and workforce because, he was an attorney and he was a soldier in war. Being an orphan he didn’t have anyone to depend on so he didn’t know as many life lessons which could effect him. Do you think he should be president?
