Andrew Jackson

Filed under: Uncategorized —— Nick Silvestri @ 2:57 pm

If I were living in this guy’s time, I would vote for him. There are a bunch of reasons why I would vote for him. These reasons tell why he would be a good president. This is what I found.

He was a commander in the army. He was a military governer. This guy commanded soldiers in the battle of New Orleans. All this information means he was smart, brave, and knew how to handle things.

Jackson had many jobs. He didn’t have the best education but knew enough things to be a lawyer. He worked in a saddle-making shop before that. He also was a slave when in the war by British which captured and had to work for them. These things say he knew enough about how things work.

He had a strong hate for the British, and at that time, the Americans didn’t like the British and I would have most-likely hated them so that would give me a reason to hate on them and already start to like this guy. He knew all about the presidency stuff so that is another thing. All of these things are things that I would like for a president, especially if it was back then.

Family Relationship post

If you have a relationship with a group or maybe just a person, you will end up acting like them. My friend is crazy, and that somehow has made me act crazy too. So don’t hang out with the wrong crowd.

Star Spangle Banner: The Truth

Filed under: Uncategorized —— Nick Silvestri @ 2:41 pm

The Star Spangle Banner was made by some guy named Francis Scott Keyh. I will tell you what the first verse really means:

Francis Scott Key is on his boat and it is dawn, and he is looking at something. Everyone is proud as the last of the fighting has stopped and they have won. American soldiers are looking at their beautiful flag in victory. The soldiers are looking over their barricades at the explosions of bombs in the air. The soldiers are watching the rockets blow up in the air. The Americans are amazed and honored that their flag is still there and they won. The Americans are happy that their flag is not damaged. The Americans are calling themselves free and brave from taking on the British.

The Miracle of 1812

Filed under: Uncategorized —— Nick Silvestri @ 10:59 am

In the war of 1812Tornado, the British burnt down the White House. American forces were being depleaded. We were losing. But then, a miracle happened. All of a sudden… a giant freak hurricane came in and destroyed and carried off most of the British ships in the ocean, and for the British soldiers on the ground, they got wiped out by a giant tornado. The heavy rain extinguished the fire of the white house and many other places. That helped the Americans rise back up a little. We probably would have lost if that didn’t come along. The movie we watched in class was good and gave good points. The British got their just deserts from this storm.

American Flag Symbolism Post

Filed under: Uncategorized —— Nick Silvestri @ 2:27 pm

American FlagWe create symbols when we want to present something. People who want to represnt theirselves make symbols and not words because when you look at words, it means nothing in your brain. But when you look at symbols, (pictures) it makes your brain think about it. The American Flag is considered a symbol because it represents something. That something is AMERICA.

Your Passion: POST

Filed under: Uncategorized —— Nick Silvestri @ 10:38 am

My passion would probably be playing video games. I look at them as fun, and addicting. I DON’T play them all of the time. Alot of people play them. My favorite kind of game is the Call of Duty game series which consists of World War 2 games and now some Modern Warfare games. The best two games of the entire series is probably Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: World at War. You shouldn’t play them all of the time, because there are more things to do in life.ModernWarfare2-Screenshot3-1920x1200

My definition of a hero: A person who helps people in a time of need, who also saves people’s lives and does the right thing.

Firemen, police officers, doctors, abd etc. are all heros because they all meet my definition.

One Of My Most Favorite Interests: WW11

Filed under: Uncategorized —— Nick Silvestri @ 10:18 am

One of my most favorite interests is WW11. This is one of the greatest wars of all time. It is very interesting in what happened and how the soldiers managed to fight and sruvive and the weapons that were used. There are alot of people who have died in that war. With some who survived and wrote books about it and sold them for money. If you don’t know what it is about, check these links.ww11 russianb

STUDENT RIGHTS

Filed under: Uncategorized —— Nick Silvestri @ 10:04 am

the rightsThis week our class had a discussion about rights that students should have. There are five rights that I thought would be good for us students. The first one is that we should get to learn about whatever we want, like I want to know more a bout WorldWar2, how to make videogames, computers, guns, things like that. The second right is that we should be given a second chance on tests or quiz’s because that is how the human race is, we learn from our mistakes so we can be better at something. The third right is that all the teachers should treat their students fairly and not like crap like some teachers in schools on Earth. The fourth right is that there should be counciling for students who bully other students, like some sort of phyciotrist for the bully to talk to in why he does these things so the phyciotrist can help them out and have them be nicer and get more friends. The fith and last right I think students should have, is that kids should get no work for home because it takes off pressure on students. Instead you should have to do the work at school.
