My Laws of My planet
Intro: Writing the Constitution is different from writing rules for our new planet, yet it is similar is some ways. The constitution is a nation wide document, and ours is for our new found planet. We may use some of the rules for out planet because they are really good rules.
The writing of the Constitution took four months. The people went back and forth and sometimes the weather was bad and it was difficult to get there. There were thirty-five delegates present for the final writing of the Constitution. For writing our rules, we wrote it in three days, but we came to school easily and we had four people to write rules for our planet.
Delegates of the Constitutional Convention came from different backgrounds and had different views on things. Writing the Constitution, there were disagreements and arguments. They must have argued about what rules to have, who should follow them, consequences of not following, etc. While writing our rules, we all have different opinions as well so we had a few arguments but we all decided on good, sturdy rules.
Both the United States Constitution and our document allow for freedom of speech. The constitution states that you have a right to freedom of religion and speech. The people that wrote the Constitution most likely wanted to have the freedom they didn’t have under the king’s rule and so they wrote in the the right of speech, and religion as well as beliefs. For ours, we had the same idea of being free and being able to express our opinions
For our planet, we had to have everyone collect food and distribute it evenly to the community. In the Constitution, the government has the right to collect income tax which distributes money to community with services.
My planet will be great with these new laws!
