In our textbook we read a section about the constitution where it told us about the strict, Jefferson side where he thinks the government should only be able to do what the constitution says they can do and not do. We also read about the other side where Hamilton thought there should be a loose interpretation where they congress could make laws that were not specifically talked about in the constitution.
I agree with Jeffersons side because Hamiltons side doesn’t need to specify what they are doing or not doing. I believe that the constitution outlines the powers of the government. By having a strict understanding of the Constitution, will limit the powers of the government so that it doesn’t become to big. It allows for more freedom for people in the United States. The government will not be able to control everything and they wont be able to take rights from people. If we follow Hamiltons loose interpretation then the government will become less democratic and become very controlling. Government will be involved in everything.
