Relationship that has changed me

My relationship with my brother has changed me. He is pretty wreckless. He just casually destroys things for no reason. He just doesn’t care about much besides his video games. This has changed me because I make sure to keep my stuff away from him because he will destroy them if he gets bored. He is funny though because he usually is making jokes about people. This has changed me because he is like a form of entertainment when I’m bored.http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_y1p1pgk1sZU/SzLDUClqFpI/AAAAAAAAAjE/0oafcec_zyc/s320/Flippy+(Happy+Tree+Friends).jpg

Election of 1824

If I were voting in the election I would vote for Andrew Jackson. I liked his ideas and how he does what is right even if the public doesn’t think so. I would not vote for Calhoun because he likes slavery and I don’t think that and I feel that John Quincy Adams would not do a good job. Adams wanted to do scientific study but back then scientific study would cost a fortune. Andrew Jackson is sort of like George W Bush. the main difference is that jackson doesn’t wreak havoc on the economy funding a war that his dad wanted. Also Jackson doesn’t lie to everyone like George W Bush.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Jackson

What the star spangled banner song is really saying

Lets face it nobody these days understands a word the United States National Anthem( Star Spangled Banner ) is really saying, Unless you’re some guy that is some history geek than you might know but otherwise what is the point of writing some random song that nobody understands. I’m here to tell you. The first verse is the real song the second is my translation.

Oh, say can you see by the dawn’s early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Hey can you see whats going on when the sun is coming up.
We were happy to fight after dusk when it was very dark
We saw the flag as we fought our dnagerous fights
We watched the barrier so the enemy couldn’t get through and the brave are everywhere.
The light from the rockets and bombs going off in mid air
Made it clear to see that are flag was still there
The flag proudly waves in the wind
In this country you are free but only if you’re brave.http://www.militarytrader.com/upload/images/American-Flag-Wall-Art.jpg

Death of the White House

In the war of 1812 the United States burnt down the Parliament building in Canada. So in revenge the British landed in Benidect, Maryland and made their way up the coast of Maryland towards Washington DC destroying all American resisants that try to stop the British. They didn’t stand a chance. They were being killed so badly. Their revenge would be to roast the White House which was a some what simple task because the only resistance to defend the capital cowardly ran off so fast that the British got heat stroke from chasing them. The White House went up in flames when the Britsh threw lit torches through the windows. Civilians watched in horror as they watched the capital building burn to the ground. This showed the brutality of the British at the time.http://jamieumbc.files.wordpress.com/2009/11/whitehouse-burned.jpg

The symbols of the USA

There are many symbols of the United States. Some great and some evil.

We’ll create symbols either to represent an event or to show meaning and affection toward something. The statue of liberty is an example of a symbol showing affection because it shows imagrants to the United States that here they are free from terony. One that shows evil is ground zero, The place where the World Trade Center was blown up by terrorists. The symbol brings sadness and depression to the hearts of a Americans. A symbol means importance. If we need to show something is important we’ll create a symbol for it. Like the declaration of Independance is a symbol of independance in the United States of America

A symbol can be an award for something. Like in a war if you get a purple heart award it shows that in the war you were brave and in your act of bravery you were ingured. In sports you can be handed the MVP award which symbolises you were the best player in the league. Also in sports when you get inducted into the hall of fame you receive a plaque that symbolises that you are a hall of fame athlete.

A symbol can be used to put fear into people. In world War 2 we bombed Hiro Shima and Nagasaki, Japan to symbolise that we will wipe them off the map if they continue to fight in the war. Germany would murder people hiding jews to scare civilions into turning the jews in. also in World War 2 the Germans wreaked havok on other countries scaring the French into easily roling over to the Germans.

These are all examples of symbols and how they can be used

Passion Post

Sports is my passion. Mainly Baseball, basketball, and football. I play sports and I follow sports year round. What I would love to do in sports is be a star player on a team. Usually I’m a role player. I’ve never been the best player on a team. Just playing in a close game is exciting. it’s different if your getting blown out because you know there’s a chance you can come back but that chance is very slim, the coach is freaking out on everyone, and everybody’s miserable. In a close game there’s hope, everybody’s into the game, and the coach is still freaking out but not as bad. I don’t know why I’m so passionate about it but I just am. An obstacle I have to over come sometimes is being benched. I hat sitting on the bench because it’s boring sitting in the blazing sun watching 13 year olds hit a baseball. I’d have to defeat that dilema by practicing and playing hard to earn playing time. http://islandsportsmedia.net/ISM2/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/little-league-logo_1.jpg

Allen Iverson Quote

“We’re sitting here, I’m supposed to be the franchise player, and we’re in here talking about practice”. That is one of my favorite quotes from a basketball player. It is a favorite quote of mine because it symbolises how the superstar was so young and arrogant Iverson was earliar in his career. I like Iverson as player but come on the guy was a complete diva earliar in his career by rebelling against the team that treasured him because something apparently didn’t go Allen Iverson’s way.

What is a hero?

A hero is a person that helps someone out of the kindness of their hearts. Like in the 19th century when people would hide slaves and help them up north. Also during the holacaust people would hide Jews from the nazis. These were risks though. If you got caught hiding slaves you’d be arrested and if the Germans caught you hiding Jewish men and women they’d kill you. I don’t really consider doctors heroes bnecause they’re only helping for the pay check at the end of the week. volunteer fire men are heroes because they volunteer to save people.

NBA

This year so far has been a great year in the NBA. The New Jersey Nets set an NBA record for worst start in NBA history starting 0-18. Then there’s Allen Iverson being himself with the Memphis Grizzlies. He through a hissy fit and got released from the team just because he wasn’t starting. One of my favorite quots came from this thick head and this is it.”  We’re sitting here, I’m supposed to be the franchise player, and we’re in here talking about practice. Now he’s come crawling back to Philedelphia after ” retiring” , which didn’t last very long. If your going to fake retire at least be like Brett Favre where you just drag everything out. Let’s see how long this will last until his selfishness once again gets him thrown out of Philedelphia. Now recently Greg Oden is once again out for season. I feel bad for the guy. He’s actually hurt unlike Carl Pavano when he was with the Yankees when he just sat his lazy butt on the bench every year while he collected his money. The Celtics, Magic, Cavaliers, Nuggets, Hawks, Lakers, Spurs, and Suns are all looking really good. They all have winning records and all look like they’ll be competing for a championhip. You know who is won of the worst teams in the league year in and year out. This team better not go to Vegas because unless the draft lottery is rigged they have really bad luck. This year their top pick really killed them by staying in Europe because he’s too embarrased to even be on their bench. It’s the Timberwolves. This team can’t seem to ever win. They only have 1 or 2 wins this year and 1 of those came to the Nets. I’m beginning to wonder if my middle school’s basketball team can beat them. This team has become the Detroit Lions of the NBA. This season is nothing new to Timberwolves fans. They traded Garnett, Ty Lawson, and OJ Mayo. All are or are turning into great NBA players. When is their general manager getting fired. On top of that Ricky Rubio isn’t going to be playing for them anytime soon.

A big interest of mine is war

A big interest of mine is war. Also another one is sports but I already wrote about that. The war I’m most interested in is World War 2. Especially the American and British invasion of Germany. The Americans began their invasion through France on D-Day. It was a brutal war where milions of people were killed. The war wasn’t the only thing about the war, there was also the holacaust where the Nazis rounded up all the Jewish people they could find and enslaved them and slaughtered them. Millions of Jews were killed in te Holacaust. When Hitler fell the Holacaust and the war in Germany was over, but there was also the war in the Pacific with the ruthless ntion of Japan. Japan had taken over most of eastern Asia and were the ones that brought America into the war in the first place when they attacked Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. They would do anything including sacrifce there own lives for victory. They had a tactic that was suicide and crazy. When a Japanese plane was out of ammo or injuredthey would almost do what terroists did on 9/11 2001 and crash there planes into American ships. There acts of suicidal bombing proved to be devastating as it killed many people. The Japanese was very strong and ruthless and refused to surrender. They had such a strong will to win thewar that the Americans had to destroy all hope for Japan as they dropped 2 atomic bombs in Hiro Shima and Nagasaki and also destroyed most of the capital(Tokyo). Eventually America won the war.
