In class we talked about immagaration and the 5 rules I would make for an immagrant to be in the u.s are.

1. You have to speak english.

2. You have to be 25 and older

3. You have to have a college degree.

4. You need to have a clean record and documentation of your existance in the previous country you lived in.

5. Only 1000 immagrants are alowed a in a year.

Another question I had to answer is should immigrants have to know English.

My answer to this is yes they should have to speak English. the reason is of course that is our main language. Why are they treated different because they are an immigrant also they should adjust to our way of living. If they want to live here they should obviously learn a simple thing like our language.

Andrew Jackson is a democratic-republican who is running in the election of 1824. Andrew is a tough man being nicknamed,  “Old Hickory“. Andrew is a very strong man his father died when he was very young. Andrew and his brother Robert Jackson were captured by the brithish and held as prisoner of war; they almost starved to death. This gives him hatred for the British that he thrives on today.

The reason he should be president is because Jackson is for the people and wants their voice to be heard. Jackson has already showed he can be a great leader. When he won the battle at New Orleans he showed he has the capability to lead many through anything they need help in.

Andrew Jackson believed that economy was very important. Andrew Jackson doesn’t only worry about the economy though he worries about the  country and making sure that it is doing well in all areas. Andrew Jacksons personal problems with the British did fuel hatred with them which does make him aware of many things they do including being prepared in the war.

Lastly Andrew Jackson should be president because he is very wise and for the most part keeps his personal beliefs out of the way. I think that they should for the most part if they wont to be president. I believe this because if your personal beliefs get in the way many people may not like you and their are many different people in the world so you want to appeal to all types not just one certain type.

2. Today people steriotype by what culture you are and sometimes your age.
3. You can help by telling people that they are not true and by actually speakin with those who are steroe typed against.
4. Yes because people will always have a reason to use background or anything else against people.

Friends can help you in the future because if you can trust them and get along with them there is a good chance that you will continue to be friends with them in the future. This is important because you know someone you can trust and is loyal. If you don’t have friends you can trust then that is not good because you will never be able to ask someone if you need advice.

Recently our class had to ask 15 people from 3 different generations what a flag means to them and this is what they said.

Have you ever wondered were the Star Spangled Banner came from, well I know I have. The Star Spangled Banner was written by Francis Scott Key who was in a ship while Fort McHenry was being attacked by the british. Francis Scott Key decided to write a poem about the sight. It is know known as are national antham.

Can you see by the early morning lights.

 We happiallycheared at the last gleam of bright light.

The big colors and stars, went through the tough fight.

Over the mounds, we wondered if they were stll flowing.

Rockets filled up the sky, and bombs filled the air.

We found our flag still there.

Does that banner still wave.

The land of freedom and the home of braveness.

A severe tornado and hurricane came rushing through at the perfect time for the U.S during the war of 1812. The British had just destroyed many buildings and towns, when they were marching a humongousstorm approached. Many soldiers were caught off gaurd and had no shelter to protect them. Many died becuase of debre from both the hurricane and tornado. Most just laid down in the open fields just to try and stop themselves from getting blown away because of the strong winds. This storm saved the U.S because now many of the British soldiers died because of the storm, and those that didn’t were very scattered and unorganized. This allowed the U.S to regroup and gave them an advantage for the remander of the war.

I believe we create symbols when something is important enough or when you need a symbol to represent something. We create symbols when they are needed. We need them to represent something because pictures mean more than words. An American flag is considered a symbol because it represents freedom. It symbolizes everything that many people worked hard to get,, and it represents that hard work and freedom of our 50 states.
