Last night the Flyers from Philadelphia beat the Montreal Canadiens in the 5th game of the serious. The Flyers will now be facing the Chicago Blackhawks in the Stanley Cup who defeated the San Jose Sharks in four games. The Powerful Blackhawks haven’t won the Stanley Cup since 1961. I fell that the Blackhawks will end there long curse and they will win the Stanley Cup.They have great forwards with all around skill, which include Patrick Kane, Johnathan Towes, Patrick Sharp, Thomas Kopecky, Marian Hossa, Andrew Ladd, and Dustin Byfuglien. There very skilled defensman include, Duncan Keith,Brent Seabrook, Brent Sopel, Brian Cambpell, Nick Boynton. GO BLACKHAWKS I HATE THE FLYERS!!!!!!!!!!

My teacher Mr. Bogush had us ask 15 people from 3 different generations what they thought about the 1812 war. So we went onto www.wordle.net and typed in all the answers. Then it put it into a picture like you see in above. Then we had to change the font and color, which i did so we pretty much customized the whole picture that shows above. So the words you see above were the most common used words in the 15 answers i received. So the bigger the word the more it was used. For example “war” was used alot thats why its bigger.

When we sing the Star Spangled Banner it sounds very accurate. I think that if Francis Scott Key saw the war during the day not the night. It would not be accurate. But it is accurate right now because he did see all the bombs bursting in air and stuff.
Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn’s early light,
what so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thru the perilous fight,
o’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that Star – Spangled Banner yet wave
o’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

The Star Spangled Banner to me means that it started America. It gave us a start. Also a national anthem.
GO USA!

Something that was interesting or main in the movie was when the storm hit and effected the British Army. It was strong winds, hurricanes, tornadoes and, heavy rain. Mother Nature helped the Americans a lot by that. That really helped the Americans in winning the war. The storm was so strong it was carrying the British away with its wind. British soldiers had to lay on the ground and hold on for life. Tree branches were flying off and even some trees were falling. It stopped the momentum that the British had by attacking the White House they went in and stole valuable suveniors and, food. Then they had burned it.

When do we create symbols? I think we create symbols when something that will go down in history happens. Also I think we create symbols when a war us won or a interesting thing has happend and people want to learn more about. Like the “Star of David”. Lastly i think we create symbols when someone wants to represent something.
