Is it accurate?

Posted by Sean on January 12, 2010

When we sing the Star Spangled Banner it sounds very accurate. I think that if Francis Scott Key saw the war during the day not the night. It would not be accurate. But it is accurate right now because he did see all the bombs bursting in air and stuff.

Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn’s early light,
what so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thru the perilous fight,
o’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that Star – Spangled Banner yet wave
o’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

The Star Spangled Banner to me means that it started America. It gave us a start. Also a national anthem.

GO USA!
