2011

I chose an event in my book called “ending the war”. The Battle of New Orleans began on the 8th day of January, 1815. The British had 5,300 troops. Jackson’s force has 4,500 troops. In 30 minutes, more than 2,000 British troops have been killed. Only 100 U.S. troops have been killed. When the U.S. troops had won the war, Scott Key Francis Wrote the Star Spangled Banner. This was written based on his point of view. We fought for freedom and justice. The British broke the treaty that they signed two weeks before the battle of New Orleans.

O say, can you see, by the dawns early light,

the battle had lasted that long.

What so proudly we hail’d at the twilights last gleaming?

Even though our soldiers were unprepared for battle, we still fought the British.

Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro” the perilous fight,

The flag was still standing during the battle.

O”er the ramparts we watch”d, were so gallantly streaming

from the bGuns were being fired everywhere, Cannons were being positioned at us oats.

And the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air.

The battle was epic!

Gave proof through that the night that our flag was still there.

as long as the flag was there, it meant that America had not fallen yet.

O’say does that star bangled banner yet wave.

our flag was still standing.

O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

We had won the war of 1812.

I chose president Maddison because I know a more about what he had accomplished. After seeing the movie, “The war of 1812″ I now know how and who made the star spangled banner when the Britsh, (redcoats, lobster backs, etc.) had lost the battle while fighting Americans.

“What Would Happen If” is the best question in the world. I liked the short movie and i have to agree that most people I talk to will happen to say what would happen if.
