What a terrific post about rebellion.

You are correct, it is important to rebel if someone is bullying you or applying too much peer pressure. If that ever happens to you or your friends, please let your parents and your teacher know. It is never okay to bully.

I have enjoyed getting to meet you and your classmates in this challenge!

Just like you have been successful in middle school, you will also be successful when you get to high school! One thing I think is important is to pay attention to what is happening right now. Although it is fun to wonder about the future, it is especially important to pay attention to the things around you that you are learning at this moment.

Dear Shawn,

That’s an interesting post. I like all of your I statements. Good luck with your tryouts for the Wallingford Vikings.

At our school we have a different meaning of an I statement. We use it when someone is bothering you. You say, “I don’t like that you _________. I want you to stop.”

Have you ever heard of this strategy? It is a good one when people are bothering you.

I agree. I love that in America we are free to speak our mind without fear of being thrown in jail.
