The burning of Washington was a very tragic event. Everything was burned from houses to stores it was just devastating. During the burning of Washington then the White House was also burned. The British invaded then burned it. The next day there seemed to be a hurricane. Then moments after a tornado. How ironic right. Well after Washington was nearly burned to the ground and the hurricane and tornado passed what was left of the British just ran back home. So it looks like  mother nature was in favor of the Americans at that time. Like a blessing or something. After that The White House was successfully fully rebuilt and Washington flourished once again.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                My Sources:http://www.eyewitnesstohistory.com/washingtonsack.htm
