In class we ready in our text books about a group called the War Hawks. After doing some research on the War Hawks, I think the book did a good job of describing the War Hawks. There was not much I would have added except the fact that most of the War Hawks were Democratic Republicans. I would not change the section much because it does have all the key information such as: they wanted war against British and they believed that the British were trying to suppress the independence of their nation. If I was editor of the book I would not know what to add to make it more interesting. The section if brief because there is not much information besides leaders and what they wanted the key points. As I already said this section has all the key points listed so there is not much to critique besides the missing information such as they were Democratic Republicans.

“Do great leaders make history? Or does history make great leaders?” Which do you believe? Now bloggers im asking you this question because it could be a great discussion topic. In my opinion great leaders make history. I think that if George Washington didn’t overcome the hessians then we wouldn’t even know who he was. But even with that not everything is always absolutely correct. King Tut for example was very young during his rule as Egyptian King and he did not make many decision when he was ruling. So even though he was not a great leader we still knew who he was. Even with these two example I still think that the leader makes history, because history could be a way to tell the futur or present how great those people once were.

These couple weeks my class in social studies has been doing something called Significant Objects. We took ordinary objects and gave then a story from the past. The stories we make were made up and we put the items on auction. I liked this project because we could be creative with our stories. I think theres not much that should be changed and when we went on live on the internet to present our objects we were very organized and we did well. A challenging thing about this was limiting ur imagination because we had to make it sound reasonable. In the future when if I do this again when I speak on the live stream I should stutter less.

Today i decided to answer some questions about leaders.

What characteristics does a good leader have?

I think a good leader has to be nice but also strict. They should also know about their followers.

Are leaders made?  or born?

I think leaders are made. Leaders do not know everything when they are born the more hey experience the more they know about how to lead.

Describe a time when you were a leader.

I was a leader when a blackout happened at my house even though I did not have any followers I lead myself safely out of the house.

Describe a time when you followed a leader.

I followed a leader when a fire drill happened and i followed my teachers who were my leaders.

Can anyone be a leader?

Anyone has the potenial to be a leader but some people don’t become leaders due to them not wanting to be or making the wrong choices.

Are you a leader?

I don’t consider my self a leader because i usually follow others.

What are you strongest abilities as a leader?

I think my strongest abilities as a leader is my voice. 

Its commanding and a strong voice makes you sound commanding when you need to be.

If you don’t consider yourself a leader, what is standing in the way?

I think that the only thing standing in my way is because of how I act. I do not try to be a leader and I am not good at telling others what to do .

This is an item of mine that holds a special memory. You may be wondering what Compasses and Secret Agents have to do with each other so I’m going to tell you. When I was a little boy my parents used to watch the movies like Mission Impossible and James Bond. Well when I saw these movies as a kid of course I was amazed by all the things they did. So my dad had this compass lying around, since I was a kid I had a huge imagination. The compass was what every Secret Agent needed: A spy watch. I used to pretend it was like a walkie talkie and talk to my imaginary spy team. Whenever I was bored my little secret agent world never ceased to entertain me and it was a memory thats hard to forget.

Some of you may know the story of George Washington and the cherry tree. But have you ever wondered did it really happen or was it all just fake? Well I did some research for you guys and what I found out was that, no he did not cut down the tree. After researching a little i found out that the author Parson Weems came up with this. It was actually just a way for George to show his honesty. I found my proof after looking through some sites all with same answer of no he did not cut down the tree.

Today I’m going to tell you guys about 2 ships that were used in the US Navy. One ship from the past when the navy was first created the USS Constellation and another ship that’s more modern the USS Wasp.

The Constellation was a boat that harnessed the power of wind with sails. Modern ships like the Wasp get it’s power from steam turbines,boilers, and shafts. They also have a difference in weaponry. The Constellation had guns like the Parrot rifle and the Long guns, and shell guns. The Wasp has more advanced weaponry such as machine guns, missiles, and more. In the inside of the ships there are also many differences. All the crew members of the Wasp have individual rooms with air conditioning while the USS Constellation did not have such advance technology.  The two ships also have a difference in size. The length of the Wasp was 844ft and the Constellation was only 179 ft. The last thing is that the Constellation is now a museum and the Wasp is still in commission.

Dinosaurs weren’t extinct. Dinosaurs were extinct long ago. Imagine what it would be like if dinosaurs were roaming the street with us today. Imagine what it could change our life expectency rate, our advancements in technology, or even how many people were alive today.

Today im going to talk about whether you should believe in a strict or loose competition. I think we should believe in a strict one because if we believed in a loose one people could say that the Constitution did not mean that and it had a different meaning. Also many things would be different whether or not it is Constitutional. That is why i believe in a strict Constitution.
