think

Filed under: Uncategorized —— zahiat @ 3:22 pm

Many people judge others on their actions and or intentions. I’m sort of in the middle with judging people because some people could be very nice, but have very bad actions, or bad intentions. I think they both are important because people show their actions in harmful ways, in ways that could get someone hurt or that can harm your reputation. Your actions show a lot about you and so do intentions, for example if you see someone getting hit by a car and don’t bother helping them because something holding you back then that shows a bad intention, your either not helping hem because you’ve been taught not to get into situations like that, or you might have something against helping a poor stranger dieing on the street. What would you do if a stranger got hit by a car? Would you help them? Or just move along  with your day, like nothing happened knowing that person could be dead if you took time out of your life to help an innocent person there’s a good change they’d be alive. I think both intentions and actions are important because they both show a lot about you. If your actions are different from other’s and are more negative then it can get you in trouble and probably ruin your reputation. For example if you decide to rob a bank then that’s totally going to ruin your reputation because then you can go to jail for god knows how many years. If your younger then it’s basically the same thing, you get treated like an adult and you can go to juvie and it’d also be on your record all that because of your actions. Most people should watch their actions, some people can’t really control it because they may have a reason why they decided to rob a bank that made their actions so bad. Other decide to do the wrong thing, or hang around people with wrong actions. That can also get you in trouble even if you weren’t apart of it, you may either get blamed for others actions, or you may be apart of it somehow. You should always stop and think before you do or say anything because then i think it would get you out of trouble, because if you decided to do the opposite then you’d probably get in big trouble and one day regret what you just did.

What do you think the Star-Spangled Banner means?

Filed under: Uncategorized —— zahiat @ 8:37 pm

The Star-Spangled Banner is America’s national anthem. It’s also known as Francis Scott Key’s song that he wrote during the fight for independance.  I think the song did more than just give our flag a name.  It chagned the way countries looked at their flag. Most of us know all the lyrics to our national anthem, but some of us don’t, but do you ever take time to think about what it really means?

Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn’s early light,                                                                                                                                                                 -Early dawn he could see the stars glowing from the American banner

What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?                                                                                                                                      -I think it means that the day has ended and it’s the last point they had light outside.

Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thru the perilous  fight,                                                                                                                              -Francis Key scott could see the stripes and stars of the flag during the war.

O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   - they could see the american flag over the protective wall

And the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there
.                                                                                                                                        -the light of the bombs gave proof to the night, that the flag was still there.

O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave                                                                                                                                                                 -does the american flag still wave

O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?                                                                                                                                                     -Over the land of the free and home of the brave (America)?

Dolley Madison saves George Washington!

Filed under: Uncategorized —— zahiat @ 9:40 pm

Dolley Madison was the wife of the 4th president of the United States, James Madison. She was the first lady if the U.S. from 1809 to 1817. Madison made the White House delightful and cheerful where people can visit and make themselves feel at home. She hosted social and political gatherings and events. She was very colorful and her fashion sense was very different than everybody else’s during 1812. While the war was in session, between the Americans and the Bristish. Washington D.C. and the White House were under attack. Dolley Madison was warned and only had a short amount of time to gather up her things, before the Bristh tourched the White House, the first thing she got was a painting of George Washington, because it was very important to her. It not only reflected America’s respect for Washington but also for a democratic government.

symbols;

Filed under: Uncategorized —— zahiat @ 2:58 pm

55740061_8dc593db3aA symbol to me is something that shows a very important meaning. A symbol to you can be anything, like a picture. Symbols can be created anytime, if you have a picture that has a meaning to it, then it’s considered a symbol. We need symbols to help us remind us what it means, for example; if you have a picture of batman hanging on you wall (like me) then you’d want know what it symbolizes, but if you have just the word of what you think the batman symbol means, then your most likely going to forget why you chose to put that word on your wall. I think everyone has a different meaning for the same symbol. Batman to me symbolizes strength, and bravery, when other see the symbol, they might think a whole lot different. The American flag is a symbol in many different ways, it symbolizes the U.S.A. and the 50 states, and there’s a lot more it symbolizes. Other countries out of the U.S. world think the same and some would think the opposite.

Art is my passion.

Filed under: Uncategorized —— zahiat @ 10:28 pm

Art is my passion. I am very artistic, i love to draw and use my imagination. Drawing is one of my talents, i draw whatever comes to my mind because theres no one telling me what to do. I just let it flow on paper, i like to fill my room with art and collages that i put together myself.  Artistic abilities does not run in my family. I think it’s just something i picked up in the elementary school, art class was my favorite because we got to paint and draw pictures. I express my feelings through painting and drawing, it depends what mood i’m in. When i draw i bring out my creative side that no one thought i had, because people think I can’t draw and when they see my picture, i prove them wrong. :)

Definition of a hero!

Filed under: Uncategorized —— zahiat @ 11:26 pm

My definition of hero is; someone you admire and look up to, someone you can trust and, someone who would never back down. That hero is Obama! He’s a hero because he never backs down. He not only believes in himself, but he has faith in himself which is important to all of us, because we don’t want a president who dosen’t believe that they can take over the U.S. Obama is our fist African-American President, that proves a lot, because most people thought Obama would never make it, and others thought he would. He proved half the world wrong, because anyone can do anything, you just have to believe in yourself. I was pretty surprised when he was elected, because i thought about the others who didn’t support Obama, would that bring him down? No, it didn’t harm him one bit. He didn’t care about their opinnion, because he knew it didn’t matter. He just moved on with his plans on keeping our Country safe. The oast didn’t bother him ethier, the fact that African-American back then weren’t even allowed to vote until the 1860-1870’s, nor even run for president, but Obama knew that was history, and that the past was the past. I thought he was very brave and showed a lot of courage, and that is why Obama’s my hero :]OBAMA

FYI; this beautiful image is from Flickr. com, http://www.flickr.com/photos/7587743@N03/441110124/

For the millionth time, MCR is not emo. :) Seriously, if you think they are, then you obviously know nothing about them & havn’t heard anyone of their outstanding songs. I’ve been obsessed with them for a while now. There music is wonderful, I listen to their songs at least 10 times…a day, maybe even more. I love their music because their songs actually mean something, theres a story behind each one weither it’s negative, or positive. Maybe that’s why half of my team & friends & family think MCR is emo, some of the band member’s have been struggling with life & they usually express their emotions through their music. I love My Chemical Romance, Gerard’s voice is amazing, but you can’t forget about Frank, Ray, Bob & Mikey.♥ I love how there so energetic when there performing on stage & they don’t just stand there while playing.  People think I’m weird for liking MCR, but I jsut don’t care. MCR is truly amazing & I’ll always be obsessed with them. :)

3709588966_8223b9b655Teenager’s should be able to do whatever they want. There should be no such thing as curefew, we like to explore the town and hangout with friends. I should be able to come home a little later than 10:30. I hate having to go to bed at a certain time on weekdays and waking up at 6 in the morning for school. I want to be able to go to bed whenever I feel like it. Doing chores is another pointless thing, it’s boring & i hate chores with a passion, but who dosen’t?  Getting paied for something you do almost everyday isn’t that bad because even though your doing something you don’t like, your getting paied for it. Free Speech is important, if parent’s have the right to say whatever they want, then we should too, because I think teenager’s should be free! :)
